The 4th state of Matter: Plasma
Plasma is a hot ionized gas consisting of approximately an equal amount of positively charged ions and negatively charged electrons. They are influenced by electrical and magnetic fields, while the other three states of matter (solids, liquids and gases) are not.
Some examples of plasma are the sun, the stars, lightning and fluorescent lighting.

Plasma is the 4th state of matter. In physics and chemistry, plasma is a state of matter similar to gas. Common forms of plasma include the Sun and other stars, lit fluorescent lamps, lightning. Plasma is higher in energy than the other 3 forms of matter.
